YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE!
How to have fun showing up as an entrepreneur!
Last week I had a video call with one of my clients. We were discussing what a powerful story her brand had, and how education was a big factor in helping the consumer choose her product over a national brand.
A lightbulb went off, and I was like “You should be the face of your company! There’s no reason why you cannot do all the things I’m doing to grow your brand too. Start a blog, email market, bring your shoppers closer to you by sending them to your website, do a Facebook live, grow your Tribe, etc.”.
I basically challenged her to show up because if you’re the face to your brand, it’s so important that your authenticity is seen online.
The first time I did a Facebook Live I swear I felt like I was going to puke, and I shook the whole time.
In fact, I’ve gotten so used to the feeling of almost-puking because I continuously challenge myself. To be better at leading my staff and clients. To show up with free content every.single.day. because it’s how I’m building my platform. To leave toxic relationships, both personally and professionally. To get fit.
I’ve bought out business partners. Gone to arbitration when I wasn’t getting paid what was promised to me. Shown up alone in small claims court because a client owed me money. Paid tens of thousands to my lawyer. Asked for what I deserved. Raised my monthly engagement fees, then raised them again. Hired a seriously expensive mentor to stretch me. Spent almost $20,000 in education and coaching groups last year alone to push me even further.
And each and every time I’ve grown. As a human, a wife, a momma, a CEO, a leader!
Financially, I’ve grown my revenue 1,150% MORE than when I sat in a cubicle at Walmart’s Home Office and allowed people to tell me how much I was worth, and what to do every single day.
This year I’ve adopted a mantra. “I can do hard things”. And man, have I used it over and over and over in my head.
I can work an Excel spreadsheet like a boss, even when I freaking hate it and would rather gouge out my eyeballs with pencils.
I can hire a trainer, and show up to crossfit completely scared and knowing I just might die from a terrifyingly hard workout.
I can stop eating foods that hurt my body, make me feel sluggish, and make me fat.
I can do hard things. I will show up.
And you know what?! YOU CAN TOO!
